Our online Quran classes for kids give your child a patient teacher of their own: live, one-to-one, at a time that fits around school and tuition. Children start with Noorani Qaida, learning the Arabic letters from scratch, and move on to Nazra, reading the Quran fluently from the mushaf.
Classes run 24/7 in IST, and male and female teachers are available at any time. Your child’s first 3 classes are free, and you pay only after the trial.
Who these classes are for
- Young beginners who are ready for short, focused lessons. Unsure if your child is ready? Read the right age to start learning Quran.
- Children who learned a little at a maktab or at home and need a steady teacher to carry on.
- School-going children whose day is full of school, tuition and homework, and who need a class that fits around it.
- Girls whose parents prefer a female teacher. That is easy to arrange (see female Quran teacher online).
The path: Noorani Qaida, then Nazra
| Stage | What your child learns | When they move on |
|---|---|---|
| Noorani Qaida | Arabic letters, letter shapes, vowel marks, sukoon, shaddah and joining letters into words | When they can read new words on their own |
| Nazra | Reading from the mushaf: clear letters, correct vowel lengths, smoother pace | When reading is fluent and steady |
| Next, if they wish | Tajweed for correct recitation, or Hifz for memorisation | Decided together with the teacher |
Every child moves at their own pace, so we do not promise a finish date. The teacher moves on only when each step sounds right. For a closer look, see what each Noorani Qaida lesson teaches and what Nazra Quran is. Parents who searched for broader Islamic courses may like our note on why kids should start with the Quran.
How a kids’ class runs
- Live one-to-one: just your child and the teacher.
- 30 minutes a class, 5 days a week, 20 classes a month.
- A quick revision of the last lesson, then a new small step, then a short practice task for home.
- Gentle correction: the teacher reads, your child repeats, and slips are fixed straight away.
- Parents are welcome to sit in, especially for the first few classes.
- A phone, tablet or laptop, a stable connection and ideally a headset are all you need.

Classes around the school day
Because we teach 24/7 in IST, you can pick the half-hour when your child is calm: early morning before the school bus, late afternoon after lunch and rest, or after tuition and before dinner. You agree the timing during the free trial and can change it later, for example around exams. Still weighing this against the local madrasa? Here is a fair comparison of online Quran classes vs a madrasa.
Fees
| Plan | You pay | Per month |

Same fee for every course and every teacher. Every new student gets 3 free trial classes, and you pay only after the trial, once you have seen how your child gets on. Comparing options? Read our guide to online Quran class fees in India and what to ask any teacher before you decide.
Children learn all four Quran courses at Online Islamic Institute, so there is no need to change institute for the next step. If your child later shows real interest in memorising, our guide to Hifz for kids at home explains how to tell if they are ready. Mothers who want lessons of their own can join our online Quran classes for ladies.
