Every Quran reader starts somewhere, and for most of us that place is Noorani Qaida. Our Noorani Qaida online course takes a complete beginner, child or adult, from the first Arabic letter to reading words from the Quran on their own, with a live teacher listening to every sound.

What you’ll learn
The course follows the Qaida lesson by lesson. Your teacher won’t move on until each step sounds right.
- The Arabic letters: recognising each one and saying it from the right place.
- Joined letters: how letters change shape at the start, middle and end of a word.
- Vowel marks: Fatha, Kasra and Damma, then Tanween, Sukoon and Shaddah.
- Long vowels (Madd): stretching sounds the right length.
- Reading real words: short words and phrases taken from the Quran.

Who this course is for
- Children starting the Quran. If you’re wondering whether your child is ready, see the right age to start learning Quran.
- Adults who never learned to read Arabic. Plenty of people start in their twenties, forties or later. One-to-one means nobody else is watching.
- Readers who want to fix the basics. If you read but mix up similar letters, going back through the Qaida with a teacher clears that up.
How the classes work
- Live one-to-one classes: just your child (or you) and the teacher.
- 30 minutes a class, 5 days a week, 20 classes a month.
- Any time of day or night in IST. We teach 24/7, so pick the slot that fits school, tuition or work.
- Male and female teachers are available at any time. Ask for whichever you prefer (more on learning with a female teacher).
- Parents are welcome to sit in, especially in the first few classes.
- All you need is a phone, tablet or laptop, a stable internet connection and ideally a headset.

The fee is the same for every course and every teacher:

Every new student gets 3 free trial classes, and you pay only after the trial, once you’re happy with the classes. During the trial the teacher checks your child’s level and agrees a class time with you.
After Noorani Qaida
Once reading feels natural, students move on to Nazra, reading directly from the Quran, then Tajweed for correct recitation. Some go on to Hifz. You don’t need to decide any of that now. Your teacher will tell you when the next step makes sense.
