Online Tajweed Course in India: Fees, Timings and Who It Suits

If you are looking at an online Tajweed course in India, two questions usually come before everything else: what will it cost each month, and can the classes fit around school, college or work? This guide answers both plainly, then covers who the course suits, what a week of classes looks like, and how to check a teacher before you pay anything.

Short answer: at Online Islamic Institute our online Tajweed classes are ₹4,000 a month, ₹21,000 for 6 months or ₹36,000 for a year on a Monday to Friday plan. We teach 24/7, seven days a week, so you choose the days and the time in IST. Your first 3 classes are a free trial, and you pay only if you are satisfied.

Online Tajweed course fees in India

Our fees are the same for every course, Tajweed included, and they are listed in rupees so there are no currency surprises:

Plan (Monday to Friday)Fee
Monthly₹4,000 per month
6 months₹21,000
12 months₹36,000

These are Monday to Friday plans. If you want weekend classes, fewer days a week or a different plan length, our team will talk through the options with you; we do not publish other prices because they depend on the schedule you pick. The full breakdown, and what to compare when you look at other academies, is in our guide to online Quran classes fees in India.

A few things are worth knowing before you compare numbers:

  • Every class is one-to-one. The fee is for a teacher who listens only to you or your child, not a group call.
  • The trial is real. You get 3 free classes with the actual teacher. If you are not happy, you simply do not continue.
  • No refunds or guarantees. We would rather you decide during the free trial, before paying, than promise results nobody can promise.

Timings: when can Tajweed classes happen in IST?

Because we teach around the clock, the timing question is really about your routine. Most families in India settle on one of a few patterns, which we look at in more detail in Quran class timings in India:

  • Before school or work, around 5:30 to 7:30 am, often right after Fajr when the house is quiet.
  • After school, roughly 4 to 7 pm, once children have eaten and rested.
  • Late evening, 9 to 11 pm, which suits working adults and college students.
  • Weekends, for those who cannot manage weekdays. Weekend schedules are arranged with the team.

Students pick their own days. A Class 10 student might take classes five days a week until board exams, then drop to fewer; a working professional might prefer late nights. Changing the time later is normal.

All of India runs on IST, so a family in Kozhikode, Hyderabad or Lucknow books the same way: tell us the window that works, and we find a teacher free at that hour. If a time stops working, say during exams or Ramadan, we move the class rather than leave you with missed lessons. One practical tip: pick a time when the student is fresh and the room is quiet. Tajweed is about listening closely, and a tired student at the end of a long day hears less.

Who an online Tajweed course suits

Tajweed is the set of rules for pronouncing the Quran correctly: where each letter comes from, which letters are heavy or light, how long to stretch a vowel, and what happens to noon and meem sakinah. It makes sense once a student can already read Arabic script. In practice that means:

  • Children who have finished Noorani Qaida and are reading, or about to read, the Quran.
  • Students in Nazra who read fluently but make the same mistakes again and again.
  • Adults who learned to read as children but were never corrected, and now want to recite properly in salah.
  • Ladies who prefer a female teacher; you can ask for one, and more about that is on our Quran classes for ladies page.
  • Younger learners: Tajweed for children is taught in small steps, and our online Quran classes for kids explain how we pace it.

If you cannot yet join letters, start with Qaida. A good teacher will tell you honestly in the first trial class whether you are ready for Tajweed or need a few weeks of Qaida first.

What a Tajweed class looks like

Classes are live on a video call. The teacher listens to you recite, stops you at mistakes, says the correct sound, and has you repeat it until it sits right. Rules are taught in the order you need them, usually:

  1. Makharij: where each letter is pronounced from.
  2. Heavy and light letters, and the letters that change.
  3. Noon and meem sakinah: izhar, ikhfa, idgham and iqlab.
  4. Madd: how long to stretch, and when.
  5. Stopping and starting: the waqf signs in the mushaf.

Each rule is practised on real ayahs, starting with surahs you already know, so the theory is never far from your recitation. Many students use the Indo-Pak mushaf they have at home, and the teacher works with that script.

How to judge an online Tajweed course before paying

Whichever academy you choose, use the trial classes to check a few simple things. We cover more of this in how to find the best online Quran classes in India, but for Tajweed specifically:

  • Does the teacher actually stop your mistakes, or just let you read?
  • Can they explain a rule in simple Urdu, Hindi or English, not only in Arabic terms?
  • Is the class one-to-one, and is the time fixed in IST?
  • Are fees written down clearly, with what the plan covers?
  • Can you ask for a male or female teacher?

If the answers are yes after 3 classes, you have a teacher worth continuing with.

How to book your free trial

Joining takes a couple of minutes. Send us a message on WhatsApp using the green button on this page, or fill in the short contact form with your name, the student’s age and your preferred times in IST. We match a teacher, fix the trial times, and the first class can usually start within a few days. The steps are explained in full in how to join online Quran classes in India.

After the 3 free classes, you choose a plan only if you are satisfied. If you are not, there is nothing to pay.
