Knowing the letters is one thing. Opening the mushaf and reading a page smoothly is another. Our Nazra Quran online classes help children and adults read the Quran fluently and accurately from the page, with a live teacher listening to every word.
Classes are one-to-one, they run 24/7 in IST, and male and female teachers are available any time. Your first 3 classes are free, and you pay only after the trial.
Is Nazra the right next step?
Nazra means reading the Quran while looking at the mushaf. It sits between Noorani Qaida and Tajweed or Hifz, and it suits:
- Children who have finished Noorani Qaida and can join letters without freezing.
- Adults who learned as children and want to read smoothly and correctly again.
- Readers who get through a page, but slowly, or with small mistakes nobody ever corrected.
- Students who want to start Hifz later and need steady reading first.
If the letters still blur into each other, start with our Noorani Qaida online course. Your teacher checks the level during the free trial. For a plain explanation of the term, read what Nazra Quran is.
What you practise
| Area | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Letter accuracy | Clear letters, especially pairs that are often mixed up, like س/ص and ح/ه |
| Vowels | Short and long vowels held for the right length, so words aren’t flattened |
| Sukoon and Shaddah | Stops and doubled letters read cleanly |
| Fluency | Joining words and ayahs at a steady pace, without constant pauses |
| Stopping and starting | Pausing at sensible places and starting again correctly |
| Longer portions | Growing from short surahs to full pages and then whole juz |
Basic pronunciation is corrected along the way. The full rules of recitation are taught in our online Tajweed classes, which many students take after Nazra.
How a Nazra class runs
Each class is 30 minutes, 5 days a week, 20 classes a month. The student reads a set portion aloud; the teacher stops at each slip, reads it correctly, has the student repeat it and then carries on. A short piece of reading is set for home. Parents are welcome to sit in.
Progress is measured by cleaner, more confident reading, not by how many pages were rushed through. Classes run 24/7 in IST, so early mornings, after school or late evenings all work. Wondering when a child is ready? Our note on the right age to start learning Quran covers it.
